For a sustainable future
Youth-led Global Citizenship Education
The Institute of Future Sustainable Development (IFSD) is a non-profit civil organization dedicated to advancing global citizenship education grounded in the values of human rights, peace, inclusiveness, responsibility, solidarity, and creativity, based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We focus on research, education, and international cooperation to build a more sustainable future together.
Through field-based policy research and practice-oriented education, we strive to provide inclusive learning opportunities where no one is left behind. We are committed to creating a global learning environment that ensures diversity, cultural respect, and freedom of expression. In particular, we operate youth leadership training and certificate programs that cultivate action-oriented next-generation global leaders. Through interdisciplinary annual academic conferences on global citizenship education and various international forums, we expand cross-border solidarity and promote a shared sense of ethical responsibility. Furthermore, we work to realize sustainable educational solutions through the fair and ethical use of technology—developing a Gender Index to promote women’s rights and conducting literacy education and research using e-books for women and youth in marginalized educational contexts.
We nurture people. And those people go on to change the world. At IFSD, we walk alongside the journey of global citizenship education, a path of connection, action, and transformation.
